Symptom of malfunction | Cruise functions are disabled. |
Output limit, etc. | Output limit |
Malfunction indicator light | Light out |
Multi information | Post-driving engine inspection |
Possible cause of malfunction | Abnormality in common rail pressure |
Detail
- The criterion to identify a symptom as an abnormality in this troubleshooting is whether actual common rail pressure exceeds target pressure by 15 MPa or more for a certain period of time when engine speed is 450 r/min or more without any other malfunctions detected as DTC codes P0628, P0629, P0088, P0191, P0192 and P0193 / diagnosis monitor codes 69, 72 and 74.
- Use HINO-DX to check that no other diagnosis codes are output.Troubleshoot other output diagnosis codes, if any, so that these codes will not be output in this step.
- Check set timing of the supply pump. Reinstall properly if not installed at the top dead center (0º).
- If the above checks did not find any abnormalities, use the HINO-DX to delete past malfunctions and start the engine.
If the same code is output again, potential causes may be a failure in the supply pump; a failure in the common rail pressure sensor; excessive fuel flow due to fuel supply system failure; a trouble of leakage inside the injectors; failures in engine ECU, harnesses and/or connectors.
For further detailed diagnosis, use the HINO-DX.
