Expand AllThe transmission control computer ASSY calculates the duty ratio from vehicle speed, throttle opening, etc. and operates the transmission solenoid ASSY (SL3). During lock-up operation, the slippage status is confirmed from engine speed and turbine speed signal, and control is performed for optimal slippage. When engine speed and turbine speed do not coincide during output of the lock-up operation signal, the transmission control computer ASSY puts out a diagnostic code.

Proceed to [2]INSPECT TRANSMISSION SOLENOID ASSY (SL3) BY ITSELF
- Inspect operation
- Connect battery (12 V) plus to terminal 2 of the transmission solenoid ASSY (SL3), connect battery (12 V) minus to terminal 1, and confirm that the valve in the solenoid operates.
Standard:
Operation (operation sound)- Inspect resistance
- Check the resistance between terminals 1 and 2.
Standard:
5.0-6.0Ω (20°C, 68°F)
Replace the automatic transmission ASSY.
Proceed to [3]INSPECT TORQUE CONVERTER ASSY BY ITSELF
Replace the torque converter ASSY.
Replace the automatic transmission ASSY.
- Confirm the DTC P2764/36 is inactive
- Start the engine and let it idling condition.
- Verify the DTC P2764/36 is inactive.
- DTC Clear
- Clear the DTC with Hino DX
- Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred
- P2764/36 is reoccurF Return to first process
