Expand AllShift position detection is performed by input of the signal from the neutral start switch ASSY to the transmission control computer ASSY. In case of abnormalities for the P, R, N, D, 4, and 3 signals of the neutral start switch ASSY, the transmission control computer ASSY puts out a diagnostic code.

- Disconnect the connector of the neutral start switch ASSY.
- Check the connector terminal voltage on the wire harness side.
Standard:

Inspect the power supply system.
Proceed to [2]INSPECT NEUTRAL START SWITCH ASSY BY ITSELF
- Disconnect the connector of the neutral start switch ASSY.
- Check for continuity between the terminals.

Replace the neutral start switch ASSY.
Proceed to [3]INSPECT WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NEUTRAL START SWITCH ASSY - TRANSMISSION CONTROL COMPUTER ASSY)
- Connect the connector of the neutral start switch ASSY.
- Disconnect connector A of the transmission control computer ASSY.
- Set the ignition switch to ON and check the voltage between the terminals. (Refer to page for the terminal layout.)

Repair or replace wire harness and connector.
Inspect and replace the transmission control computer ASSY.
- Confirm the DTC P0705/43 is inactive
- Start the engine and let it idling condition.
- Verify the DTC P0705/43 is inactive.
- DTC Clear
- Clear the DTC with Hino DX
- Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred
- P0705/43 is reoccurF Return to first process
