OPENING PRETENSIONER
(DTC CODE B0131 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 8)

1. Turn the starter key to the "LOCK" position, wait for 90 seconds or more, and disconnect the yellow connector of the SRS airbag ECU.
2. Remove the driver's seat.
3. Remove the bed if so equipped and remove the bar supporting the bottom of the bed.
4. Remove the shift console and parking brake lever console.
5. Remove the scuff plate.
6. Pull up the floor carpet.
7. Remove the seat belt anchor.
8. Disconnect the yellow connector of the cab floor.
   
   
   Push in the direction of the arrow to disconnect it.
   
   
9. Measure continuity between the terminals of the yellow connector on the cab main harness side of the cab floor.

   Standard: With continuity

NO Cab main harness abnormality

YES Measuring continuity between terminals

1. Remove the seat belt tensioner.
2. Pull up the black portion of the yellow connector to unlock and disconnect the yellow connector.
   
3. Measure continuity between the terminals of the yellow connector of the cab floor and the yellow connector on the seat belt tensioner side of the cab harness.
   

   Standard: With continuity
   

NO Harness abnormality between cab floor and seat belt tensioner

YES SRS airbag ECU or seat belt tensioner abnormality

1. Confirm the DTC B0131 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC B0131 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

B0131 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
