OPENING BAG (DTC CODE B0101 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 3)

1. Turn the starter key to the "LOCK" position, wait for more than 90 seconds, and disconnect the connection of the yellow connector of the air bag ECU.
   
2. Remove the air bag module.
   
3. Measure continuity between the terminals of the yellow connector on the inflator side of the steering column spiral cable.
   
   

   Standard: Conducting

NO Go to [2]Measuring continuity between terminals.

YES Air bag ECU abnormality

1. Disconnect the connection of the cab harness and spiral cable under the steering column and measure continuity between the terminals of the yellow connector on the cab harness side.
   

   Standard: Conducting

NO Cab main harness abnormality

YES Spiral cable abnormality

1. Confirm the DTC B0101 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC B0101 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P0101 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
