SHORT-CIRCUIT OF BAG (DTC CODE B0100 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 2)

1. Remove the steering column cover.
   
2. Remove the yellow connector.
   
3. Turn the starter key to the "LOCK" position, check that more than 90 seconds has passed, and detach the connection of the yellow connector.
   
   
   Pull the white portion in the direction of the arrow to unlock and detach the connection of the connector.
4. Using the diagnosis monitor, delete the past malfunction code and then output the present malfunction code again.
   

   Standard value:
   Output of diagnosis monitor code 3: Proceed to steps under YES.
   Output of diagnosis monitor code 2: Proceed to steps under NO.

NO Air bag ECU or cab main harness abnormality

YES Go to [2]Checking of diagnosis code

1. Turn the starter key to the "LOCK" position, wait for more than 90 seconds, and remove the air bag module.
2. Connect the yellow connector at the steering column.
3. Using the diagnosis monitor, delete the past malfunction code and then output the present malfunction code again.
   

   Standard:
   Output of diagnosis monitor code 3: Proceed to steps under YES.
   Output of diagnosis monitor code 2: Proceed to steps under NO.

NO Spiral cable abnormality

YES Air bag inflator abnormality

1. Confirm the DTC B0100 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC B0100 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

B0100 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
