Detail
- Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and disconnect the 26-pin connector of the air suspension ECU and the rear height sensor connector.
- Measure continuity between the terminals of the 26-pin connector (vehicle harness side) and rear height sensor connector (vehicle harness side) as listed below.
26-pin connector Rear height sensor connector 7th terminal 1st terminal 6th terminal 3rd terminal 19th terminal 2nd terminal Standard: With continuity
NO
Abnormality in harnessYES
Proceed to [2] Inspecting harness for short-circuit

- Measure continuity between the 6th and 7th terminal of the 26-pin connector (vehicle harness side) and the body GND.
Standard: No continuity
NO
Abnormality in harnessYES
Proceed to [3] Measuring voltage between terminals
Detail
- Remove the link from the rear height sensor lever and connect the air suspension ECU and rear height sensor connectors. Turn the starter key "ON."
- Measure voltage between the 1st and 3rd terminals of the rear height sensor connector (vehicle harness side). Measure a drop in voltage between the 2nd and 3rd terminals when the lever is turned to Lo and Hi positions.
(Keep the connector connected to the sensor.)Standard: Standard value
Between the 1st and 3rd terminals: 5 ± 0.3 V
Between the 2nd and 3rd terminals: Refer to "Electrical operating range."
The connector in the figure is as viewed from the fitting surface.
The standard height position varies depending on the vehicle model. Refer to the table below to find a correlation between a lever rotation angle and an output voltage at the standard height position.
