C1386 ABNORMALITY OF ES START MAIN SWITCH (ONLY VEHICLE WITH ES START)

1. Set the starter switch to "LOCK", disconnect the 28 pin connector of ECU and the connector of ES start main switch.
   
2. Check the continuity between 4th terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU (chassis harness side) and 7th terminal of the switch connector (chassis harness side).
   Standard: Continuity

3. Check the continuity between 3rd terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU (chassis harness side) and 6th terminal of the switch connector (chassis harness side).
   Standard: Continuity
   
   

Disconnection of the wire harness.

[2] ES START MAIN SWITCH CHECK

1. Check the continuity between each terminal of ES start main switch when putting the main switch "ON" or "OFF".
   Standard: 　

   Main switch "ON"	Between 5th and 7th terminals: Continuity Between 5th and 6th terminals: No continuity
   Main switch "OFF"	Between 5th and 7th terminals: No continuity Between 5th and 6th terminals: Continuity

   
   

Abnormality of the ES start main switch.

Abnormality of the ECU.

1. Confirm the DTC C1386 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC C1386 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

C1386 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
