Detail
- Set the starter switch to "LOCK", disconnect the connector of G sensor.
- Connect in series of 3 dry cell and connect (+) terminal of dry cell with 3rd terminal of the G sensor connector (sensor side) (-) terminal of dry cell with 2nd terminal.
Do not add voltage between 3rd and 2nd terminals out of 6V.
- When measure the output voltage between 1st and 2nd terminals of the G sensor connector (sensor side) when sensor canted horizontal and approximately.
Horizon about 2.3V forward slope 0.5-2.3V lay back 2.3-4.0V
- Bracket installation respect at the center says that the horizontal is ground with the horizontal center.
- Sensor cant over approximately in view of installation.
- Different from standard value when sensor canted over.
- Change of new sensor when it is dropped.
- Do not keep obvert to the sensor.
Abnormality of the G sensor.
[2] WIRE HARNESS CHECK
Detail
- Disconnect the 28 pin connector of ECU.
- Measure the resistance between 16th terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU (chassis harness side) and 3rd terminal of the G sensor (chassis harness side).
Standard: Less than 5 Ω
Abnormality of the wire harness.
[2]-3
- Measure the resistance between 28th terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU (chassis harness side) and 1st terminal of the G sensor (chassis harness side).
Standard: Less than 5 Ω
Abnormality of the wire harness.
[2]-4
- Measure the resistance between 27th terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU (chassis harness side) and 2nd terminal of the G sensor (chassis harness side).
Standard: Continuity
Abnormality of the wire harness.
[2]-5
- Measure the continuity between 26th terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU (chassis harness side) and 2nd terminal of the G sensor.
Standard: No continuity
Abnormality of the wire harness.
[3] ECU CHECK
- Connect the connector, turn the starter switch to "ON".
- Measure the voltage between 16th terminal of the 28 pin connector and 2nd terminal of the 31 pin connector. (Leaving the connector connected with ECU.)
Standard: 4.85-5.15V
Abnormality of the power supply circuit.
Abnormality of the ECU power supply circuit or output circuit.
[3]-3
- Measure the voltage between 28th terminal of the 28 pin connector and 2nd terminal of the 31 pin connector. (Leaving the connector connected with ECU.)
Park the vehicle on level ground.
Standard: 2-3V
Abnormality of the power supply circuit.
Abnormality of the ECU power supply circuit or output circuit.
[3]-4
- Set the starter switch to "LOCK".
- Measure the continuity between 27th terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU and 2nd terminal of the 31 pin connector. (Leaving the connector connected with ECU.)
Standard: Continuity
Abnormality of the power supply circuit.
Abnormality of the ECU power supply circuit or output circuit.
[3]-6
- Measure the continuity between 26th terminal of the 28 pin connector of ECU and 2nd terminal of the 31 pin connector. (Leaving the connector connected with ECU.)
Standard: Continuity
Abnormality of the power supply circuit.
Abnormality of the ECU power supply circuit or output circuit.
Normal.
