MALFUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION [VEHICLE]
(DTC CODE U1001 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 9)

1. Disconnect connectors of the vehicle control ECU, combination meter and DCU and check diagnosis codes.

   

   Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position before removing the ECU.

   Standard: The DTC code U1001 must be indicated.

NO Troubleshoot communication blackout of each ECU.	YES Inspecting harnesses

1. Confirm the DTC U1001 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC U1001 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

U1001 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
