WATER-IN-FUEL ALARM
(DTC CODE P2269 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 75)

1. Drain water from the fuel filter.
2. Turn the starter key "ON" and check multi-information.
   

   Standard: A message "Drain water from the fuel filter" must not be indicated.

NO Proceed to [2] Inspecting the fuel filter water level sensor.	YES Normal

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and disconnect the fuel filter water level sensor connector.
2. Measure resistance between the 1st and 2nd terminals of the fuel filter water level sensor connector (component side).
   

   

   Standard value: ∞ Ω (with no water)

NO Fault in fuel filter water level sensor	YES Fault in engine ECU, ECU connector or harness

1. Confirm the DTC P2269 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P2269 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P2269 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
