- Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and disconnect the diesel throttle valve connector.
- Turn the starter key ON.
- Measure voltage between the 2nd and 1st terminals of the diesel throttle valve connector (vehicle harness side).
Standard value: 16-32V

- Inspect inside the diesel throttle valve and remove all foreign matters if any.
- If entry of foreign matters is found, remove the foreign matters.
- Turn the starter key "ON" (do not start the engine).
- Turn the starter key "LOCK" and check that the diesel throttle valve is operative.

- Start the engine and let it idling condition.
- Verify the DTC P2100 is inactive.

- Clear the DTC with Hino DX

- Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
