DISCONNECTION IN DIESEL THROTTLE DC MOTOR
(DTC CODE P2100 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 31)

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and disconnect the diesel throttle valve connector.
2. Turn the starter key ON.
3. Measure voltage between the 2nd and 1st terminals of the diesel throttle valve connector (vehicle harness side).

Standard value: 16-32V

NO Faulty harness	YES Proceed to [2] Inspecting the diesel throttle valve

1. Inspect inside the diesel throttle valve and remove all foreign matters if any.
2. If entry of foreign matters is found, remove the foreign matters.
3. Turn the starter key "ON" (do not start the engine).
4. Turn the starter key "LOCK" and check that the diesel throttle valve is operative.
   

   Standard: No abnormality

NO Go to [3] Inspecting the diesel throttle valve.	YES Use HINO-DX to delete past malfunctions and then output diagnosis codes again.

1. Connect HINO-DX to the vehicle and turn the starter key "ON."
2. Use HINO-DX to inspect the diesel throttle valve.
   

   

   Standard: No abnormality

NO Failure in diesel throttle valve	YES Faulty harness or engine ECU failure

1. Confirm the DTC P2100 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P2100 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P2100 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
