MALFUNCTION OF ENGINE STOP SWITCH CLOSING
(DTC CODE P1530 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 46)

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and connect the signal check harness.
2. Disconnect the signal check harness connectors from the ECU.
3. Turn the starter key "ON" and measure voltage between the terminal V32 and the body GND.
   

   

   Engine stop switch	Voltage (V)
   Pressed	19 or more
   Not pressed	1 or less

    

NO Go to [2] Measuring resistance between switch terminals.	YES Fault in engine ECU and/or ECU connectors

1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position and disconnect the engine stop switch connector.
2. Measure resistance between the 1st and 2nd terminals of the engine stop switch connector (component side).
   

   

   Engine stop switch	Resistance (Ω)
   Pressed	1 or less
   Not pressed	∞

    

NO Fault in engine stop switch	YES Fault in harness and/or connector

1. Confirm the DTC P1530 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P1530 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred

   

P1530 is reoccur: Return to first process Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
