- Disconnect the EGR valve connector.
- Measure voltage between the terminals EGRV and EGRG of the EGR valve connector (engine sub harness side).

Detail
- Inspection the EGR valve.
Blockage caused by soot or contaminant in the EGR valve passage.- Connect the PC DIAGNOSIS TOOL (HINO-DX).
- Set the starter key "ON" position.
- Functional check
- Inspect the EGR.
- For the forcibly driven item, check the data monitor value to see if the opening of the EGR valve is driven as indicated by the specified value.

Detail
- Confirm the DTC P0400 is inactive
- Start the engine and let it idling condition.
- Verify the DTC P0400 is inactive.
- DTC Clear
- Clear the DTC with Hino DX
- Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred
- P0400 is reoccur: Return to first process
- Other DTC appear: Refer to concerned Trouble shooting
