ENGINE OVERRUN (DTC CODE P0219 / DIAGNOSIS MONITOR CODE 7)

1. This diagnosis code will be indicated when engine speed of 2,650 r/min or more is detected. When this diagnosis code is detected, fuel injection will be stopped. Once engine speed falls below 2,550 r/min, fuel injection will resume.

• This diagnosis code is designed not to detect engine overrun caused by some abnormalities in this system but to record that the engine has reached a high speed. (Detection of miss-shift, etc.)
• Alteration/modification or abnormality in harness will superimpose noise on revolution sensor signals. This noise will cause incorrect reading of an engine revolution, leading to false detection of overrun.

1. Confirm the DTC P0219 is inactive

   • Start the engine and let it idling condition.
   • Verify the DTC P0219 is inactive.

   

2. DTC Clear

   • Clear the DTC with Hino DX
   • Confirm the same DTC is not reoccurred
